Keeping Christ in Christmas

Merry Christmas! Today is a very special day..not only because we get to spend time with our families, and open presents, but because we get to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the world! As I think about what it must have been like for Jesus', God's only Son to hear His Father say, "It's time.", I can only stand in awe. If it would have been me, I would have protested. "Not me. No Father, You can't send me to that terrible, terrible earth. Everyone is so evil and cruel, they will hate me, and eventually kill me!!!" But not Jesus! He willingly came to earth to live a life of humility and sacrifice. On Christmas, I think about Jesus' humble birth, and also the reason He came to earth, to die on the cross so He we could live in Heaven with HIm forever if we accept Him into our hearts.
